Arc Flash Safety and Protection

This course provides critical safety training for electrical workers, engineers, and maintenance personnel exposed to potential arc flash and shock hazards. Participants will learn the physics of electrical arcs, the severe physiological impacts of thermal energy and blast pressure, and how to read arc flash warning labels on switchboards, panels, and motor control centers. The curriculum covers hazard risk assessments, establishing restricted and prohibited approach boundaries, safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO) integration, and the proper selection, inspection, and maintenance of arc-rated (AR) clothing and personal protective equipment.
