Dropped Objects

This course provides essential safety training on the prevention of dropped object incidents, a leading cause of severe injuries and fatalities in industrial, construction, and offshore environments. Participants will learn how to conduct dropped object surveys, identify potential gravity-related hazards, and manage risks associated with tools, equipment, and structural components elevated at height. The curriculum covers the implementation of the DROPS methodology, proper tool tethering and lanyarding techniques, toe board and netting standards, exclusion zone management, and proactive housekeeping practices to ensure a secure working environment above and below.
