Excavation Safety

This course provides crucial safety training for personnel working in or around trenching and excavation operations. Participants will learn about the catastrophic risks associated with soil collapse and cave-ins, as well as secondary hazards like underground utility strikes, hazardous atmospheres, and water accumulation. The curriculum covers the strict requirements for implementing protective systems—such as sloping, benching, shoring, and shielding—along with safe access and egress protocols and the vital daily inspection responsibilities of the designated site "Competent Person."
