Fire Watch

This course provides comprehensive training on the essential responsibilities and safety protocols required to perform a certified Fire Watch during hot work operations, such as welding, cutting, and brazing. Participants will learn how to identify combustible and flammable hazards within the hot work radius, inspect fire extinguishers and fire blankets, and verify that proper engineering and administrative controls are in place before work begins. The curriculum emphasizes continuous atmospheric monitoring, mandatory post-work fire watch timeframes (typically 30 minutes or more), and the immediate execution of emergency alarm and initial firefighting procedures if a fire ignites.
