OSHA Inspections and Penalties

This course demystifies the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspection process to help organizations proactively prepare. Participants will learn how OSHA prioritizes its inspections—from imminent danger and severe injury reports to targeted programs. The curriculum details what to expect during the opening conference, the physical walkaround, and the closing conference, as well as the different categories of violations (e.g., Willful, Serious, De Minimis), how financial penalties are calculated, and the procedures for contesting or settling citations.
