Permits and Policies

This course provides essential training on the implementation and management of formal Permit to Work (PTW) systems and site-specific safety policies. Participants will learn how to assess job-site hazards, mandate proper controls (such as Lockout/Tagout and gas testing), and navigate the specific requirements for Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space Entry, and Equipment Opening/Line Breaking permits. The curriculum emphasizes the vital communication between permit issuers and receivers, shift handover protocols, and the procedural requirements for safely closing a permit once work is completed.
