Radiation Protection Safety
This course provides essential safety training on radiation protection for workers in industrial, medical, and research environments where radiation sources are present. Participants will learn to differentiate between ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, understand the fundamentals of radioactive sources, and recognize the biological effects of radiation exposure on human tissue. The curriculum emphasizes core protective principles—Time, Distance, and Shielding—alongside the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) philosophy, personal dosimetry monitoring, regulatory dose limits, and safe handling procedures for radioactive materials and industrial radiography equipment.
