Tracking and Trending

This course provides essential training on the collection, analysis, and practical application of workplace safety data. Participants will learn how to transition from simply recording incidents to systematically tracking and trending safety performance over time. The curriculum explores the critical differences between reactive lagging indicators (such as TRIR and DART rates) and proactive leading indicators (such as near-miss reporting rates and inspection completion). By mastering these data analysis techniques, safety personnel will be equipped to identify hidden hazard patterns, anticipate future risks, and implement targeted interventions before injuries occur.
