Well Control Safety

This course provides essential safety and technical training on well control principles for personnel operating on drilling rigs and workover units. Participants will learn how to identify early kick warning signs, monitor drilling parameters, and understand the mechanics of bottom-hole pressure versus formation pressure. The curriculum covers the operation and maintenance of blowout preventer (BOP) stacks, choke manifold systems, and auxiliary well control equipment, emphasizing rapid response protocols to shut in the well safely and maintain pressure integrity during influx circulation.
